Here at CENTURY 21 Redwood Realty, 2018 and 2019 are all about business planning. We've launched an exclusive online business planning tool for our agents, and even held a company-wide business planning session hosted by Tom Ferry-- an event that was so out-of-this-world successful, that we're doing it again next year. One of the fundamentals of a robust real estate business plan is prospecting. Our owners, Shawn Milletary, Nick Pasquini, and Eddie Berenbaum, wanted to drive this home, so they decided to incentivize our agents through a business planning competition with some BIG prizes.
The contest ran for 60 days leading up to our company-wide business planning event, and focused on five areas of an agent's business:
- Listing Appointments
- Buyer Consultations
- Open Houses
- Outbound Referrals
Agents logged these activities in an online tracker. At the end of each day, an agent who recorded their actions was randomly chosen as a daily prize winner. He or she received a $10 Starbucks gift card and an entry into our grand-prize drawing: an all-expense paid trip to the One 21/ Realogy Experience in Las Vegas!
Not all of the prizes were random, however. Agents also competed to perform the most activities in each category. At the end of the contest, the agent who had the highest number in each of the five categories won a Series 4 Apple Watch. Not too shabby for tracking what you're already doing on a daily basis.
We announced all of the category winners and the grand prize winner at our business planning session:
Sue Pash, also out of our Stafford office
Once these Redwood rockstars all came up to receive their prizes, it was time for the moment we had all been waiting for: naming the grand prize winner. Shawn and Nick drew the name from all of the daily winners...
And the grand prize winner of an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas for the One 21/ Realogy Experience was Kristin Burns, from our Montclair office!
Although Kristin was the big winner of the day, all of our agents who participated were winners, because they reinvigorated their prospecting and earned new business. Plus, the act of tracking will serve them well as they move into 2019 with a brand new business plan and an eye on growth and opportunity.
We have so many more exciting ways to partner with agents to grow their business in 2019. If you'd like to learn more, we'd love to chat with you.
